Step inside, love

Good ole Cilla, eh? That was the title of one of her hit songs. Young 'uns today probably don't realise she was a pop singer first. Worra lorra laffs! lol

Anyway, I'm waffling. The word today over on HSMS is 'Steps' and here are some of mine!

Kerry, Simon and the 4 little 'uns drove to Glasgow today for Simon's granny's funeral. They knew their car needed three new tyres, so they took it to a local tyre place and got them replaced yesterday. On their way back home this afternoon, the car started to make the most awful knocking noises, so they stopped at Stirling and took it to a garage to see what was wrong. You won't believe this, but NONE of the nuts on one of the wheels had been tightened!! Arrrrgh! I'm dumbfounded. A silly mistake like that could have cost the six of them their lives. Doesn't bear thinking about. In the end, the garage in Stirling got it all sorted and they're back on the road as I type. Oh thank goodness they're all ok.

Can't believe the tyre place didn't tighten the nuts on the car wheels!! It doesn't bare thinking about what could have happened!!

I hope you let them know and gave them an earful cos they deserved one.

Bobs, that is absolutely shocking about the tyres - some people just dont care do they? Either that, or they're completely imcompetent. Sheesh.

Anyway fab pic for today - love that carpet - just had to go back to find the toes - didnt notice em first time round!

I thought we were looking up, then I saw the toes.Great fun touch.
A moment's carelessness by one person could have been tragic, so glad someone is watching over them.
I drove everyone nuts looking for steps today. Never thought to look indoors before I went.

OH-MY-GOD!!! I can't believe that someone did that. Whoever did that job should definitely be told about it. It makes your stomach turn thinking of the consequences. That God they are all O.K.

I liked that Cilla song too and your steps photo is like an optical illusion - it looks like you are looking up the stairs until you see your tootsies!!

Love, Irene. XXXX

Hey great steps. I love that way of carpeting them too with stair rods :) We always had ours like that living with Mum.

*loody *ell, stupid, irresponsible. All those words and more BUT the main thing is everyone is OK. Thank Goodness :)

Take Care Bobs
